With the ‘flu’ season upon us, we’re being told to get a flu shot, now available in almost any store, church or even airport you visit during the season.

But should you get it?

The government is now recommending that 84% of the population get the flu shot. This is an incomprehensible recommendation for a condition that mostly affects the elderly, and when it does, is not even as a result of the flu.

You see, of the 35,000 we are told that die each year from the flu, really didn’t die from the flu, they died from pneumonia. So the basis of their argument is flawed from the start to make such a widespread recommendation in the first place.

Next, the flu shot itself contains high levels of toxins. According to Dr. Donald Miller, MD, 2/3 of this year’s flu vaccines contain 25 micrograms of thimerosal. Thimerosal is 49 percent mercury by weight. This dosage is more than 250 times the EPA safe limit for mercury exposure. That’s insanity! Why would anyone willingly allow themselves to be exposed to that much mercury directly into their bloodstream?

The vaccine also includes toxins like formaldehyde, aluminum (linked to Alzheimers), triton X-100, ethylene glycol (antifreeze), and various antibiotics. These toxins that have been proven to cause other diseases and are harmful to the most vulnerable individuals that are being targeted by the flu shot recommendations.

Watch this comedy video of what goes into a flu shot.

Additionally, recent (and past) studies like the one from the Archives of Pediatric and  Adolescent Medicine show that the flu vaccine had no impact on flu-related hospitalizations or doctor visits over a two flu season period. None.

And lastly, the flu shot vaccine only covers one strain of the flu virus. But the strain that may be spread this season isn’t known ahead of time, so the pharmaceutical companies ‘guess’ at the most likely one. Why gamble with your health on their best ‘guess’?

And the side effects and implications of getting a flu shot aren’t to be taken lightly. For example, I recently learned that popular health advocate Chet Day’s wife got the flu shot and for the next 10 years was only able to get out of bed for at most 3 hours a day! She was mostly bedridden and was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And that’s just one example. Just do a Google search and see how many you find.

There are much better alternatives.

First would be to eliminate processed, packaged and cooked foods from your diet. Concentrate mostly on a raw vegetable diet with occasional nuts, seeds and sprouted grains. This will eliminate the barriers in your body and keep itself healthy. You see, it’s the ‘terrain’ of your body you want to keep healthy so germs, viruses, infections and bacteria won’t stand a chance against your strong immune system. This way, there is nothing for the toxins to feed on and stay in your system. You see, those on a high raw food diet rarely get sick for this reason alone. Fresh fruits and vegetables are our natural food and allow our bodies to perform at their best, including fighting off anything foreign, including the flu.

So what’s the best way to protect yourself from the flu?

Get plenty of Vitamin D.

In fact, according to Dr. John Cannell and colleagues in the paper Epidemic Influenza and Vitamin D the flu may be a symptom of Vitamin D deficiency.

What’s the best source of Vitamin D? Sunshine. It’s simple, just getting out in the sun every day will give you nature’s best defense again most diseases and illnesses, including the flu.
