Cell Phones Pop Popcorn, Cause Brain Damage Study Finds
I’ve always been concerned with the effects of using a cell phone since I started using them. It never felt right putting them up to my ear. I often felt a vibration near my ear and often got headaches.
So last year I stopped putting my cell phone near my head and only use the speakerphone. Lately, I’ve been using my cell phone less and only when away from home and only when necessary. I often turn off my cellphone, much to the disappointment to some of my friends and family.
I’ve also asked my daughter to only use the speakerphone and only use the cell phone when absolutely necessary.
I’m now considering giving up my cell phone permanently.
Why?
Well, here is the first reason:
Update: I just found out the video above was part of a viral campaign for a bluetooth headset company and has been enhanced.
Crazy huh? Here is another (not part of the campaign and after visiting this fellows blog, seems legitimate). I’m sure the ability for you to replicate this depends on the type of cellphone you have and how much radiation it emits. If it’s a low radiation emitter, it probably won’t work. (you can get a list of the highest and lowest emitting cell phones in the EMF Effects download)
When using my previous cell phone, I would always feel a slight vibration and get headaches which caused me concern and made the popcorn issue believable. Here is the most complete roundup on video I’ve found explaining the electromagnetic pollution we are subjected to today, including electricity, cell phones, microwaves and more.
Studies have now proven conclusively the connection between cell phone radiation and brain damage. As the video mentioned, brain tumors are on the rise and they now are the number one killer of children. A coincidence? Children are one of the largest group of cell phone users… just look at any school, mall or place where children gather. Most all have cell phones and either text or talk often.
The soft tissue of a child’s brain is still developing and unprotected from EMF’s emitted from cordless phones and cell phones. In a 1996 study by Om Gandhi at the University of Utah, he found that radiation penetrates the brain of a child 4.2 times faster than an adult brain. It penetrates the fluid of the eye more than 12 times faster.
This issue is so important, other countries that have instituted warnings and policies include:
- The Russian Radiation Bureau has advised pregnant women and children under the age of 16 to avoid cell phone use altogether
- The German Academy of Pediatrics has warned parents to limit cell phone use among children
- Parliamentary health officials in Great Britain have twice urged the nation’s wireless industry to refrain from promoting mobile phone use in children and publicly discourage children from using mobile phones for non-essential calls.
- Health officials in Israel and Austria continue to recommend that children under the age of 16 not use cell phones at all.
- Scandinavian health authorities have recommended that all consumers, especially children, should use whatever means possible to reduce their exposure to mobile phone radiation emissions
If these don’t move you to reconsider how you communicate personally, at least consider how your use of cell phones, cordless phones, microwaves and all wireless devices will affect your children… their health and future. They don’t know how this could affect them years from now and it’s our responsibility to guide them.
Here are some ways to reduce the effects of harmful EMF’s:
- stop using your microwave
- restrict your use of cell phones to only when absolutely necessary and use the speakerphone or a RF3 Air-Tube or similar headset (most headsets act like an antenna attracting up to 3 times the EMF’s to your head)
- turn off your cell phone at night and when not using for prolonged time frames
- keep cell phones that are on as far away from your body as possible (especially children)
- check the number and distance of cell phone towers in the area when you plan to move (find both existing and future towers in any area here)
- turn off and unplug electrical equipment when not in use
- avoid using a wireless enabled laptop on your lap
- turn off your wireless access point or wireless router at night or when not using your connection
- avoid cordless phones unless they use the 900Mhz frequency (newer cordless phone systems including 5.8Ghz and DECT stay in contact with the base unit constantly, emitting EMF’s non-stop while 900Mhz phones only communicate when in use during a conversation)
You can test the level of EMF’s in any environment using a Gauss Meter, a device that measures the levels of electromagnetic frequencies, EMF’s. You can find EMF meters, detectors and Gauss meters here.
One method of blocking EMF’s I personally use is wearing a QLink pendant. It helps block EMF’s by tuning up your own defenses and helping your energy field stay in balance. It’s been proven to improve the structure of your blood cells, one of the many ways to test the effects of EMF’s on your system and the testimonials are overwhelmingly positive. I knew it was helping me when I was able to start dreaming again after years of not being able to. I also felt less fatigue and woke up refreshed after wearing it regularly.
You can find more information about QLink pendants here.

To your best health!
