Another Reason To Lose Weight? Breast Cancer
Is there another reason to lose weight and avoid obesity?
There are hundreds, but another was confirmed recently by a study that showed obese women were more likely than overweight and normal weight patients to have breast cancer. And not just breast cancer, the more aggressive and more serious inflammatory breast cancer (IBC).
The study, published in the March 15 issue of Clinical Cancer Research showed that 2/3 of the study subjects were overweight. 80% of the subjects had standard locally advanced breast, while 18% had the more aggressive IBC.
This is not the only study to prove a link between cancer and being overweight. More studies are showing the links and proving a link that’s been know to many for years that there are risks of most every disease as your weight grows over your normal or optimal weight.
There are natural cancer treatments that avoid the toxic chemotherapy and side effects, but the best alternative is reduce your risks by losing weight.
The first step in gaining control of your weight is to remove processed foods from your diet. If there was one thing you can do today, it would be to focus your diet on primarily whole foods, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes and natural grains. Your body gets blocked up from the ‘modified’ foods that are part of so many diets today.
Avoiding cancer is only one reason to regain your optimal weight. Here are a few more:
- increase your energy
- reduce stress
- overall good feeling
- better health
- lower medical expenses
- higher self esteem
- have more fun
- feel more attractive
To your best health!
